Job summary

Nurses and More is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) for a 13-week contract to cover a summer shortage in Philadelphia, PA. The schedule runs Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM EST, with a pay rate of $37 per hour.

The PTA will read medical records, implement planned interventions such as gait training and modalities, document progress, and communicate with the physical therapist and care teams.

Qualifications

• PTA experience in the last 3 years.
• PA license as PTA.
• CPR certification not expiring within 90 days; no online courses.
• Pediatric experience.
• Inpatient experience preferred.
• Associate degree in PTA required.

Responsibilities

• Read and review medical records to understand diagnosis, precautions, goals and treatment plans.
• Provide direct interventions in sessions, including gait training, exercise and modalities; document progress.
• Inform the physical therapist of progress or problems with patients.
• Perform care coordination tasks with hospital and community providers and track equipment.
