Job summary

Allegheny Health Network in Erie, PA, is seeking a part-time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for on-site clinical support at Saint Vincent. The PTA will implement treatment plans under the supervision of a Physical Therapist and contribute to patient care and program compliance.

The role requires an Associate’s Degree, PA PTA licensure or eligibility (within 3 months), CPR certification, and necessary background clearances.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from a two-year college or technical school.
• Preferred bachelor’s degree.
• State licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant or PT Assistant, or eligibility with 3 months to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Provides physical therapy interventions based upon the plan of care written by a physical therapist, using standard and possibly specialized techniques.
• Completes documentation to comply with department, hospital, and regulatory standards.
• Participates in departmental initiatives for operational improvement including mentoring new staff and participating in committees and educational offerings.
• Performs all other duties as assigned or required.
