Job summary

Florida Spine Associates is seeking a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant to support our Delray team and Aquatic PT Center in delivering orthopedic care. This role combines direct patient care with clinic operations in a private practice setting.

You will facilitate therapeutic exercises, modalities, and documentation while collaborating with physicians, therapists, and staff to ensure exceptional patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program.
• Licensure: Active Florida Physical Therapist Assistant license in good standing.
• Certification: Current BLS / CPR certification.
• Skills: Excellent communication, strong organizational abilities, and a warm, empathetic patient manner.

Responsibilities

• Deliver therapeutic exercises and progression protocols as outlined by the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Perform manual techniques, stretching, and soft tissue mobilization within your licensed scope of practice.
• Apply modalities including ultrasound, electrical stimulation, mechanical traction, and heat/ice therapies.
• Monitor, document, and report patient response, tolerance, and progress during each session.
• Greet patients, guide them to treatment areas, and assist with safe transfers.
• Instruct and correct patients on proper biomechanics and exercise form.
• Maintain clinic operations: sanitize treatment areas, manage supplies, and assist front desk during peak hours.
