Job summary

Kindred Hospital Brea seeks a Physical Therapist Assistant for a full-time LTACH role, offering a wage scale of $27.60 to $48.95 per hour. You will work under the supervision of a Physical Therapist to help implement rehabilitation plans and support patient recovery in a hospital setting.

Qualifications include an accredited PTA program with an associate degree, current state PTA licensure, CPR certification where required, and prior hospital or SNF experience; training sessions are required for

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant / PTA program culminating in an associate degree.
• Current state licensure as Physical Therapy Assistant / PTA in states where services are rendered.
• CPR certification (when required).
• Candidates should have prior experience in a hospital or skilled nursing facility (SNF).
• Must be available to participate in required training sessions.

Responsibilities

• Work in a team providing quality, compassionate care in a secure setting
• Under the supervision of the Physical Therapist, implement the patient's Care Plan for rehabilitation.
• Communicate patient progress or problems to supervisor and other team members; assist with patient scheduling and post charges daily to patient records
• Document patient care in accordance with regulatory, licensing, payer and accrediting requirements
• Instruct patient's family or nursing staff in follow-through programs
• Maintain equipment and work area in a safe and clean condition
• Handle job responsibilities in accordance with the Company's Code of Business Conduct, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, appropriate professional standard and applicable state/federal laws
• Other duties as assigned
