Job summary

FullShift Staffing, LLC is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to assist licensed therapists in helping patients recover and regain functional abilities after illness, injury, or surgery. You will support rehabilitation and mobility, while documenting services for accurate billing.

Under supervision, you will help develop individualized therapy plans, coordinate referrals to other disciplines, and ensure care follows established guidelines and federal/state regulations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Valid Physical Therapy Assistant license or certification in the state of practice, or proof of license eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Provide support care of residents who seek short-term/transitional care with the goal to recover and rehabilitate from serious illness, injury or medical event, regaining their own best possible level of functional ability, well-being and independence.
• Assist in providing appropriate aspects of quality patient care under the supervision of licensed therapists.
• Document all services provided to ensure accurate and timely billing of therapy services.
• Ensure patient care follows the Plan of Care and organization guidelines, meets professional standards and complies with Federal and State guidelines.
• Under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, identify and develop a comprehensive plan of care; develop and implement individualized therapy programs to restore and enhance performance.
• Identify need for and make referrals to other disciplines to address comprehensive patient needs under supervision of a Physical Therapist.
• Other duties may be assigned at any time with or without notice.
