Job summary

Prava Therapy is seeking a full-time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join a premier senior living community in Frederick, Maryland. You will deliver PT interventions under a supervising PT, focusing on independence, mobility, and wellness within an upscale environment.

You will engage residents in real-world activities, educate families and staff on safety and mobility strategies, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to promote functional outcomes and fall prevention.

Qualifications

• PTA delivers skilled clinical treatments under the direction of a Physical Therapist.
• Focus on balance, gait training, strength, mobility in adult/geriatric populations.
• Educate residents, families, caregivers on mobility safety and independence.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individualized PT interventions per established plans of care.
• Address strength, balance, gait, transfers, functional mobility, endurance.
• Target fall prevention and safe device use in Assisted Living and Memory Care.
• Train residents, caregivers, and staff on mobility equipment and safety strategies.
• Collaborate with supervising PT and multidisciplinary team members.
• Monitor progress and document sessions for care plan updates.
• Support care coordination and wellness initiatives within the community.
