Job summary

STAR Physical Therapy in Tennessee is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to join our expanding outpatient network. You will work under a Physical Therapist to deliver therapeutic interventions, document patient progress, and support patient education.

In this role, you will contribute to high-quality care, mentor student aides, and participate in quality assurance activities while maintaining clinical standards and licensure requirements.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a CAPTE accredited Physical Therapy Assistant Program
• New or recent graduates are encouraged to apply
• Current TN PTA licensure
• CPR certification
• Ability to work efficiently/effectively in an autonomous environment
• Basic PC skills including EMR, database software and MS Office

Responsibilities

• Perform therapeutic interventions for patients under supervision of a Physical Therapist, including modalities and exercises
• Record patient progress and response to treatment in medical charts
• Report patient status to physicians and healthcare personnel; measure ROM, strength, and vital signs as needed
• Instruct patients and families on assistive devices and home exercise techniques
• Provide guidance to Physical Therapist Assistant students and technicians
• Assist in quality assurance programs as directed by the Physical Therapist
• Ensure technical proficiency in physical therapy principles, concepts, and techniques
