Job summary

Shore Acres Care Center in St. Petersburg, FL is hiring a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team. The PTA will provide evidence-based therapy and support functional outcomes for short-term and long-term residents.

The ideal candidate holds a Florida PTA license, works well in a team, and communicates clearly with patients and families. Eligible candidates may receive benefits, sign-on bonuses, and growth opportunities in a supportive facility.

Qualifications

• Florida PTA license in good standing.
• Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
• Experience in skilled nursing or post-acute rehab preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide PTA treatment based on the Plan of Care and evidence-based interventions.
• Demonstrate PDPM, Medicare, and documentation knowledge.
• Support long-term care programming and fall prevention.
• Collaborate with therapists, nursing, physicians, and the care team.
• Maintain accurate documentation showing medical necessity and patient progress.
• Participate in care conferences, discharge planning, and quality improvement.
• Monitor progress, adjust plans with supervising PT as needed.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and leadership.
