Job summary

Ramseur Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Ramseur, NC is hiring a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA). Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited university with a BA or AA in Physical Therapy recognized by the APTA.
• Holds current license/registration as a PTA in North Carolina.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive treatment to patients under the supervision of a PT per state guidelines.
• Assist PT in identifying appropriate patients and refer to rehab accordingly.
• Document patient participation and progress on progress notes with PT cosignature.
• Ensure MD orders are obtained for treatments, recerts, and discharges.
• Assist with documentation and state guideline compliance as needed.
• Attend facility and rehab meetings as directed by supervision.
• Act as rehab delegate to the interdisciplinary team.
• Assist with scheduling of patients as indicated.
• Complete billing and bill patients accurately for PT services rendered.
• Cover other therapists’ caseload during absence as necessary.
• Supervise junior PTA staff or students as needed.
• Maintain professional relationships with colleagues, staff, patients, and families.
• Provide in-service education to rehab staff and facility staff as needed.
• Comply with all facility safety policies and patient confidentiality rules.
• Report to work on time and adhere to scheduled hours.
• Adhere to productivity requirements and foster positive relations.
• Perform other duties assigned by Supervisor, Lead Therapist, or Regional Manager.
• Follow facility policies re lunch, overtime, and time off notifications.
• Adhere to any additional facility written and oral policies.
