Job summary

Bal Therapy LLC is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to provide one-on-one therapy to residents in homes and assisted living environments in the Alexandria area. Part-time position with a flexible schedule and opportunities for mentorship and CEU support.

The ideal candidate holds a Virginia PTA license, has geriatrics experience, and can commit to a minimum of 20 hours per week in outpatient home settings. Compensation is $40 per hour with a supportive, clinician-owned team.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Virginia PTA license or be in the process of obtaining one.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for patient/family interaction.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a care team.

Responsibilities

• Implement therapeutic exercises and techniques to improve mobility, strength, and range of motion.
• Provide hands-on manual therapy and pain relief.
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and self-care.
• Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Maintain accurate documentation of progress and outcomes.
