Waverly Rehabilitation And Healthcare Center in Waverly, VA is hiring a part-time Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA). Under the supervision of a PT, you will provide comprehensive treatment and support the rehab team to help residents progress.

Qualifications include a BA or Associate degree in Physical Therapy recognized by the APTA and a current state license. We offer competitive wages, a flexible schedule, PTO, and opportunities to grow with a supportive team.

Qualificações

• BA or Associate degree in Physical Therapy recognized by the APTA.
• Holds current license/registration in the state.

Responsabilidades

• Provide comprehensive treatment to patients under supervision of a PT per state guidelines.
• Assist PT in identifying appropriate patients and referring them to rehab.
• Document patient’s daily participation and progress with PT co-signature.
• Ensure physician orders for treatments, recertifications and discharges are obtained.
• Assist with other documentation as dictated by state guidelines.
• Attend facility and rehab meetings as directed by Supervisor.
• Act as rehab delegate to the interdisciplinary team.
• Participate in scheduling of patients and caseload management.
• Assist with billing and ensure accurate charges for PT services.
• Cover other therapists' caseload during absences as needed.
• Supervise junior PTA staff or students when required.
• Maintain professional relationships with staff, patients and families.
• Provide in-service education on patient care to rehab staff and facility.
