Waverly Rehabilitation And Healthcare Center in Waverly, VA is hiring a Physical Therapy Assistant to join our rehab team. The PTA will support PTs, manage day-to-day patient care, and help develop treatment plans within state guidelines.

Qualifikationen

• Graduation from an accredited program with a BA or Associate degree in Physical Therapy recognized by the APTA.

Aufgaben

• Provide comprehensive treatment to patients under the supervision of a PT per state guidelines.
• Assist PT in identifying appropriate patients and referring them to rehab.
• Document patient participation and progress; obtain PT cosignature.
• Ensure MD orders are obtained for treatments, recertifications, discharges, and documentation.
• Attend facility and rehab meetings as needed; act as rehab delegate to the team.
• Participate in scheduling, billing, and ethical charging for PT services.
• Cover other therapists’ caseload during absences; supervise PTA staff or students as needed.
