Job summary

Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to join a 36-hour weekly schedule (Wednesday through Saturday, 9-hour days). Position offers full-time hours with the potential to flex up to 40 hours as needed.

You will support plan of care development, apply modalities under supervision, and guide patients through home exercise programs in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant Program required.
• Current PTA licensure in the applicable state; SC licensure in some settings.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers required.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements a plan of care to meet patient needs, including discharge planning.
• Applies modalities including ultrasound, electrical stimulation, hotpacks, whirlpool, traction, ice, paraffin, iontophoresis, and therapeutic massage under the direction of a physical therapist.
• Follows treatment plan and educates patients in home exercise programs.
• Supervises patient exercise programs on Isokinetic, isotonic and aerobic equipment.
• Assesses and documents patient medical needs and treatment.
• Cleans treatment areas, stocks supplies; covers reception desk as needed.
