Job summary

Highland Springs Post Acute is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our growing team in Virginia. You will work under a licensed physical therapist to establish and implement treatment plans, using exercises, stretches, and hands-on methods to help residents improve mobility and pain.

The PTA will collaborate with the rehab team to monitor progress and adjust care as needed, while maintaining thorough documentation.

Qualifications

• Must have completed an accredited PTA program and hold a valid VA PTA license.
• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree preferred.
• Good communication and collaboration with the rehab team.

Responsibilities

• Establish treatment plans and treat patients under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist.
• Use a variety of techniques, including exercises, stretching, and hands-on therapy to help patients achieve rehabilitation goals.
• Work closely with physical therapists and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans.
• Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Maintain accurate records and reports on patient treatment and progress.
