Job summary

UVA Health seeks a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant to join our Acute Inpatient Therapies team in Charlottesville, Virginia. The PTA works under a licensed PT to help patients recover mobility, strength, and function through targeted therapy and education.

Responsibilities include implementing treatment plans, documenting care, and participating in quality improvement activities. Requires Virginia licensure, BLS, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate's Degree
• Licensure: Licensed to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant in Virginia
• AHA Health Care Provider BLS certification required.
• Home Health: Valid Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Physical Therapist in selected components of PT intervention.
• Implement established therapy treatment plans and provide interventions.
• Document patient care according to professional standards.
• Participate in quality improvement program development and professional growth activities
• Other duties may be assigned.
