Job summary

Avant Rehabilitation & Care Center in Trenton, NJ is actively seeking a compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team. You will implement individualized treatment plans and assist residents with mobility and therapeutic activities under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.

Current NJ PTA licensure is required, and experience in skilled nursing or long-term care is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current NJ PTA licensure.
• Experience in a skilled nursing facility or long-term care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized treatment plans designed by the Physical Therapist.
• Assist residents in exercises and therapeutic activities aimed at improving their mobility, strength, and coordination.
• Monitor and document residents’ progress, reporting any changes or concerns to the Physical Therapist.
• Provide education to residents and their families on techniques and exercises to support rehabilitation.
• Ensure safety and comfort during therapy sessions, maintaining a positive and encouraging environment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, and other therapists, to ensure comprehensive care.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Adhere to all facility policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure the highest quality of care.
