Job summary

Aura Care Group is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) in Hopkins, Minnesota. You will support Physical Therapists in evaluating and treating patients to restore function and mobility, under licensed supervision.

This role emphasizes collaboration with the interdisciplinary team and a commitment to safe, effective patient care. The PTA will educate patients and families, document progress, and adapt treatment plans to maximize outcomes while adhering to professional standards.

Qualifications

• Active Minnesota PTA license required.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in PTA or related field preferred.
• Strong clinical rehabilitation skills and safety knowledge.
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Prior experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or long-term care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Physical Therapists in evaluating patients' physical abilities, needs, and goals through assessments and screenings.
• Assist in developing individualized treatment plans in accordance with physician orders and clinical best practices.
• Provide direct physical therapy treatments, including therapeutic exercise, gait training, balance, and mobility interventions under supervision.
• Train patients, families, and caregivers on safe mobility, home exercise programs, and use of assistive devices.
• Monitor and document patient progress, updating treatment plans as needed to maximize outcomes.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing, and other therapy professionals to ensure coordinated care.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and professional practice standards.
• Supervise and guide Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs) as appropriate.
