Job summary

Palmdale Regional Medical Center in Palmdale, CA, is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to administer modalities and interventions under physician supervision. The role focuses on restoring function and preventing disability after injury or illness, within an acute care setting.

Qualified candidates will hold a California PTA license, an AA degree from an APA/APTA-approved program, and BLS certification. One year of acute care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of A.A. degree from a school or college approved by the American Physical Therapy Association.
• Current California license as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
• BLS (AHA) current certification.
• One (1) year experience as a physical therapy assistant in an acute care facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible administering physical therapy modalities and interventions prescribed by a licensed physician.
• Administers treatments and physical agents in an effort to restore function and prevent disability following injury, disease or physical disability.
• Develops self professionally, supports and participates in departmental operations and development.
