Job summary

Pinewood Nursing Center is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our in-house therapy team in Whigham, GA. You will implement PT plans, guide residents through therapeutic activities, and document progress under supervision.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited PTA program and GA licensure; CPR is required or obtainable after hire. Prior long-term care experience is preferred; strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current GA licensure/certification or able to obtain upon hire.
• CPR certification required (or must obtain upon hire).
• Experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting preferred.
• Strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out treatment plans designed by the Physical Therapist, including exercises and mobility tasks.
• Assist residents in improving strength, range of motion, and endurance.
• Monitor and document residents' treatments, progress, and responses.
• Communicate with supervising PT regarding status and plan adjustments.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on exercises and safety.
• Adhere to facility policies, standards and infection control.
