Job summary

North Alabama ENT Associates, P.C. in Huntsville, AL is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team. The PTA will work under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist to implement treatment plans, assist patients in improving mobility, and support recovery goals.

The role is full-time with a Monday–Friday schedule. Experience in outpatient settings and CPR/BLS certification are desirable; EMR documentation and collaborative teamwork are essential

Qualifications

  • Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • AL PTA license (Alabama).
  • Current CPR/BLS certification.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work with patients of all ages and backgrounds.

Responsibilities

  • Implement treatment programs established by the supervising Physical Therapist.
  • Assist patients with exercises, stretching, balance training, gait training, and mobility activities.
  • Monitor patient responses and report changes to the Physical Therapist.
  • Document sessions in the EMR system.
  • Educate patients and families on exercises and home programs.
  • Maintain a safe, clean therapy environment.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care.
  • Adhere to policies, state regulations, and professional standards.

Position Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team. The PTA will work under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to implement treatment plans, assist patients in improving mobility and function, and support their recovery goals. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, team-oriented, and committed to delivering exceptional care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement treatment programs established by the supervising Physical Therapist.
  • Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, stretching, balance training, gait training, and mobility activities.
  • Monitor patient responses to treatment and report progress, concerns, or changes in condition to the Physical Therapist.
  • Document treatment sessions accurately and timely in the electronic medical record system.
  • Educate patients and family members on prescribed exercises and home programs.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized therapy environment.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of patient care.
  • Adhere to all company policies, state regulations, and professional standards of practice.
QualificationsRequired
  • Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • Current Physical Therapist Assistant license in Alabama.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with patients of all ages and backgrounds.
Preferred
  • Previous experience in outpatient setting
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR).
  • Knowledge of orthopedic, neurological, and post-surgical rehabilitation.

  • Physical stamina to provide hands‑on patient care in a clinical environment.
