West Tennessee Healthcare in Brownsville, Tennessee, is seeking a qualified Physical Therapist Assistant to provide quality PT services under supervision. You will assess, intervene, educate, plan and implement treatment, and participate in discharge planning with proper documentation.

The position requires an Associate degree from an accredited PTA program and a Tennessee license to practice, with routine supervision by the therapist of record. 8am–4pm day shift.

  • License to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the State of Tennessee.

  • Accurate and timely documentation of patient records.

  • Plan, organize and adjust the daily schedule to optimally use time, space and equipment.
  • Apply treatment techniques based on latest standards to meet the plan of treatment.
  • Use tests and measurements appropriate to patient age and problems.
  • Develop measurable goals and a supported treatment plan.
  • Participate in training of team members and provide education as requested.
  • Document patient records accurately, concisely and in a timely manner.
  • Complete departmental and corporate forms accurately and promptly.
  • Discharge planning and communication with care team.

May be exposed to human waste and body fluids, and infectious diseases. Under the direction and supervision of the patient’s therapist of record, the assistant provides competent and age-specific services, selected assessment, program implementation, discharge planning, and related documentation and communication.
