Qualifications

• Must be able to work in an environment with moderate to loud noise, bright lights, smoke, and dust.
• Minimum one year cashiering/money handling experience preferred.
• Must be able to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Welcomes guests to the Sportsbook and displays the three R1SE behaviors.
• Explains sportsbook promotions and hands out informational materials.
• Promotes products to guests in a confident and efficient manner.
• Communicates wagering processes in simple terms to new guests.
• Obtains a cash bank at start of day and reconciles at end of day.
• Maintains accurate cash counts and balances daily summaries.
• Places, writes and processes tickets as requested by guests; verifies winnings.
• Complies with internal controls and departmental procedures.
• Maintains confidentiality of information and reports irregularities to supervisor.
• Handles guest questions and resolves disputes calmly.
• Ensures compliance with regulations and money-laundering controls.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Summary: It is the responsibility of the Sportsbook Writer to deliver exceptional service by providing our guest with sports information and writing sports tickets. The Sportsbook Writer is familiar with the range of betting offers and actively communicates these to our guests. The Sportsbook Writer is aware of and contributes to sportsbook action plans and takes pride in knowing who our guests are and how our processes work.

Essential Job Functions:

• Welcomes guests to the Sportsbook room displaying the three R1SE behaviors in every interaction.
• Explains Sportsbook promotional programs to potential guests, hands out informational brochures and keeps guests informed of all promotional activities and events.
• Responsible for being well-versed in the products and services offered in the Sportsbook room and the ability to promote them to guests in a confident and efficient manner.
• Communicates effectively when explaining wagering to new guests and is able to use simple terms to communicate the process of wagering.
• Responsible for obtaining a cash bank at the start of each business day and returning the bank at the end of each business day.
• Maintains an accurate count of all money and reconcile daily summaries of transactions to balance cash drawer.
• Responsible for placing, writing and processing tickets as requested by guests.
• Responsible for verifying and processing winning tickets.
• Complies with all internal controls and procedures related to departmental operations.
• Must maintain strict confidence of any and all confidential and proprietary information disclosed by the Casino, team member of the Casino, or a guest of the Casino
• Clearly communicate all pertinent information and any irregularities to your supervisor or manager.
• Handles guests questions and disputes; resolving complaints and difficult situations in a calm and patient manner.
• Ensures compliance with Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board regulations and with the company’s internal controls.
• Ensure compliance with currency transaction requirements, Title 31, and money laundering and other gaming requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
