Job Description
We are seeking Wound Care Nurse Practitioners to provide wound management services in long-term care settings. Responsibilities include:

  1. Providing wound care for patients in skilled nursing facilities.
  2. Prescribing medications, including controlled substances, in accordance with KY law.
  3. Ordering, reviewing, and following up on treatments and diagnostics.
  4. Communicating with nursing staff about patient condition changes and care plans.
  5. Collaborating with primary care physicians.

Qualifications

  • Current, unrestricted NP license in Kentucky.
  • Board Certification.
  • DEA licensure (optional).
  • Experience in adult, family, or geriatric care, especially wound care.
  • Comfort with diagnosing and treating various wound types, including diabetic, arterial, venous, and pressure injuries.
  • Familiarity with wound care products and advanced therapies.
  • Experience with wound vacs and DME devices.
  • Wound certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
  • Experience in long-term care settings.
  • Proficiency with EMR systems.
