Job summary

Midland College is seeking instructors for the Texas GED program to teach Language Arts, Science, Social Studies, and Math in Midland, Texas.

The role includes online and in-person instruction, tutoring, evaluating progress, maintaining a safe learning environment, and collaborating with colleagues. A Bachelor's degree and computer familiarity (Word/Excel) are required to support student success.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Instruct GED students in Language Arts, Science, Social Studies, and Math.
• Teach online, in person, or both, as scheduled by the TXCHSE Coordinator.
• Communicate effectively with students.
• Report and interpret test results for individual students.
• Provide tutoring and additional instructional support.
• Maintain a safe learning environment.
• Attend required staff meetings and 15 hours of PD.
• Assist with student registration and orientation.
• Other duties as assigned.
