Schedule: 20hrs/wk. 2 weekdays 12pm–8pm, 1 weekend day 12pm–4pm or 4pm–8pm.

Pay Minimum: USD $21.00/Hr. Pay Maximum: USD $25.15/Hr.
Responsibilities:
Levels of care at this facility include: Medical Detox, Inpatient/Residential SUD & MH Rehab, Medication–assisted treatment (MAT), and Aftercare Planning.
The Therapeutic Activities Coordinator is responsible for planning, directing and coordinating approved activity programs for patients in treatment. The Therapeutic Activities Coordinator is responsible for developing engaging activities and encouraging patient participation outside of programming hours. This position will be responsible for coordinating and facilitating community–based activities for patients in PHP and IOP levels of care.
CORE JOB DUTIES:- Create engaging activities that will promote high levels of patient participation.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to ensure patient participation and attendance tracking.
- Plan, organize, and direct activities to facilitate patient recovery and well–being which may include off–site outings.
- Coordinate and facilitate activities committee meeting to ensure distribution of monthly activities calendar.
- Ensure inventory of supplies are provided on–site.
- Support treatment team with patient interventions and de–escalation as needed.
OTHER REQUIRED TASKS:- Counsel and encourage patients to develop leisure activities.
- Evaluate engagement and effectiveness of activities provided with the assistance of the Clinical Director.
- Maintain positive relationships with all staff.
- Maintain healthy boundaries with patients and staff.
- Ask for and accept feedback from supervisors.
- Provide a safe and therapeutic environment to all staff and patients.
- Communicate significant patient developments to supervisor.
- Participate in Quality Improvement activities and contribute to the success of the organization.
- Pursue professional development through participation in education and training programs.
- Contribute positively to the morale of other staff members.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:Here is what we'll need to consider:
- Minimum high school diploma is required. Post–secondary education is preferred.
- Minimum of one (1) year experience.
- Good driving record that meets safety and company insurance standards.
- Certification in Recreation Therapy preferred.
- CPR and Standard First Aid certification required.
Core Competencies:- Conduct therapeutic sessions to improve patients' mental and physical well–being.
- Observe, assess and record patient participation and progress during recreational sessions.
- Plan, organize, and direct recreational activities.
- Recreational treatment plan.
