Qualifications

• Graduated from a certified ultrasound program with ARDMS certification.
• Extensive experience in OB/GYN and breast ultrasound preferred.

Responsibilities

The Northwestern Specialists For Women, a practice partner of Together Women’s Health (TWH), has an immediate opportunity for a part-time Sonographer to join our team!

The Sonographer is responsible for acquiring ultrasound images used in medical diagnoses. The technician performs sonography in accordance with applicable standards and policies, maintaining an understanding of team-based patient care and documentation.

Applicants with breast ultrasound certification will be given priority.

Schedule:

• Monday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
• Friday 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
• As Needed for coverage

How you’ll make an impact:

• Greet patients courteously and meet their needs
• Review patient identification and verify physician orders
• Gain patient cooperation by reducing anxieties, explaining procedures, and answering questions
• Review images, make observations, document exceptions, and communicate data to physicians
• Maximize ultrasound quality and production following standards
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment
• Document ultrasound services through patient record charting
• Participate in process improvement activities in radiology
• Other duties as assigned

Talents you’ll bring:

• Graduate of a certified ultrasound program
• ARDMS certification and in good standing
• Extensive OB/GYN experience
• Breast ultrasound certification (highly preferred)
• Excellent communication skills and professionalism
