Job Overview

Food Lion has been providing an easy, fresh, and affordable shopping experience since 1957. Our 82,000 associates serve over 10 million customers weekly across 10 Southeastern and Mid-Atlantic states. We are looking for a friendly and efficient PT Sales Associate Cashier to join our team.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Provide fast, friendly, and accurate service to customers, creating a positive shopping experience.
2. Greet customers and use their name when possible.
3. Unload groceries from carts, group items for bagging, and check for forgotten items.
4. Follow proper bagging procedures and handle transactions accurately.
5. Assist customers with their orders, including carrying items to their cars if needed.
6. Maintain a neat and clean work station and front end area.
7. Report any issues with registers or equipment promptly.
8. Adhere to all safety, health, and company policies.
9. Complete required training and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements.
• Ability to perform physical requirements, including lifting and standing for long periods.
• Minimum age requirements as applicable.
