Duties And Responsibilities

• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Clean Service Desk/Kiosk.
• Maintain a neat, well-groomed appearance and follow personal appearance policy.
• Assist in special projects and perform other tasks as assigned.
• Work within management planning guidelines to maintain productivity.
• Support safety standards; report equipment issues; keep work area safe and clean.
• Treat all associates with fairness, dignity, and respect.
• Perform price checks and record discrepancies.
• Verify customer IDs and adhere to policies on checks, tobacco, and alcohol sales.
• Manage register cash levels and request cash pickups as needed.
• Observe security standards and report abnormal behavior.
• Handle transactions including cash, checks, electronic payments, WIC, coupons, gift cards, refunds, lottery, and Western Union, in compliance with policies.
• Secure register when unattended; protect assets.
• Maintain equipment and report malfunctions.
• Keep store sanitation standards and recognize produce varieties.
• Perform cashier and service functions as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Prerequisite Training

• Completed Cashier/Service Associate training packet.

Physical Requirements

• Stand continuously; occasional walking.
• Handle currency and operate equipment.
• Bend and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Push/pull up to 75 pounds.
• Reach and grasp at various levels.
• Visual acuity for ID checks and written documents.

Preferred Requirements

• Greet customers and provide courteous service.
• Record purchases accurately.
• Handle payments and refunds properly.
• Meet physical requirements, with accommodations if needed.
• Follow AML guidelines for Western Union, Money Orders, Prepaid Cards, and Check Cashing.

Salary range: $15.50 - $22.30/hr
