Job summary

Hudson Valley Credit Union is seeking a Risk Mitigation Assistant to support the Risk Mitigation Department with administrative and operational duties, including reports, mail coordination, supplies, and processing restitution payments.

Key tasks include preparing reports for management, conducting user audits, reviewing system configurations, and ensuring compliance with BSA and credit union policies, while supporting Lean Six Sigma initiatives.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED or state equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of office support experience.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a financial institution preferred.

• Prepare monthly fraud charge off reports for Member Debt Solutions and provide reports to management.
• Provide general administrative support including mail, filing, logs, and supplies.
• Process daily restitution payments.
• Conduct monthly user audits of various systems.
• Review system configuration settings monthly and report findings to leadership.
• Adhere to Credit Union policies and participate in required training, including BSA.
• Support Lean Six Sigma initiatives and teamwork in company projects.
• Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.

Overview

Hudson Valley Credit Union is currently recruiting for the position of Risk Mitigation Assistant. Primary Function: provide support for all areas of the Risk Mitigation Department through administrative and operational duties and functions in the areas of reports, coordinating department mail, ordering supplies, and processing restitution payments.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and prepare reports for Risk Mitigation management at regular intervals.
• Prepare monthly fraud charge off reports for Member Debt Solutions and perform applicable maintenance. Provide reports to management for review.
• Assist department with administrative support including paperwork, filing, distributing department mail, ordering office supplies, updating logs, distributing incoming service events, affidavits, or other queued mail/inbox items.
• Process daily checks for restitution payments.
• Perform monthly user audits of various systems.
• Conduct monthly reviews of system configuration settings and report findings to Chief Risk Officer and Risk Mitigation management.
• Adhere to all Credit Union policies, procedures, and regulatory agency requirements. Participate in all required and recommended training and development including, but not limited to, Bank Secrecy Act training (BSA) and demonstrate attained knowledge. Participate on Credit Union teams, projects and strategic initiatives when the opportunity arises. Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, General Education Development (GED) certificate, or state authorized high school equivalent certificate required.
• Minimum 1 year providing support in an office environment preferred
• Minimum 1 year experience in a financial institution preferred
