Respiratory Therapist (RT)

Looking for a part-time talented and motivated Respiratory Therapist to join our dynamic team. The position is within a Skilled Nursing facility. The candidate should possess a passion for the geriatric population, must have a license in the state of practice, be able to evaluate and treat independently without direct supervision, and possess the desire to perform functional therapeutic activities to assist residents in improving their experience.

Job Description

• Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques to maintain and progress the rehab patients with various respiratory illnesses/diseases and non-respiratory illnesses.
• Initiates therapies, maintains patient records, operates, checks, and assembles equipment.
• Completes a variety of bedside treatments.
• Completes in-services for nursing staff every quarter.
• Responsible for completing daily, weekly, and monthly documentation.
• Attends applicable IDT meetings.
• Experience with tracheotomy.
• Experience in a long-term care setting.
• Follows procedure and protocol of the facility.
• Completes tracking, auditing, and caseload management.
• Performs related duties as required.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program. Licensed as RRT or CRT.
• Licensed in the state in which practicing and BLS certification.

Salary: $37 to $45 an hour

Schedule:

• This will be your standing schedule. We are looking for a RT that can work the following schedule consistently:
  • 4-6 hours per shift; maybe up to 8 hours depending on caseload.
  • Saturday and Sunday
