Job summary

The GIANT Company is seeking a Pharmacist to join our team in Harrisburg. This role focuses on managing pharmacy duties, assisting customers, and supporting daily store operations while delivering excellent service to our community.

Qualified candidates will hold a Pharmacy degree or PharmD, be licensed to dispense in the relevant state, and be authorized to immunize. Prior experience and the ability to maintain safety and compliance are expected.

Responsibilities

• Enter orders, schedule work/production, supervise and train team members, receive/store/stock items, check dates, and complete department tasks as needed.
• Assist customers, answer phone calls, and clarify prescriptions when necessary.
• Fill prescriptions by counting pills, measuring liquids, and preparing compounded ingredients.
• Perform record-keeping and other duties as assigned by the Department Manager.

General Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, communicate, and understand to complete job duties and comply with company policies and safety regulations.
• Complete the company introductory (probationary) period of 60 days.
• Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD.
• Authorized to immunize.
• Meet ergonomic and physical requirements and base scores for the position.
• Ability to use or learn to use the equipment and tools required for the job.
• Ability to perform all job functions safely and meet company performance standards.
• Wear the proper assigned clothes and shoes approved for this job.
• 1 year of work experience or technical training (job-specific requirement).
• Keyboarding skills.

Job-Specific Qualifications

• Maintain valid specialty licenses, certificates, or permits required for the position.
• Licensed to dispense in the state(s) in which the role operates.
