Crossroads Staffing is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector in California to oversee product development and ensure compliance with customer specifications. You will conduct inspections and tests during manufacturing and record observations to drive improvements.
The role requires ERP proficiency for quality reporting, blueprint reading, and use of meters, gauges, and calipers. You must be able to work standard hours with optional overtime on Saturdays.
Responsible to uphold the policies our company has created and oversee the product development process to ensure that all products meet quality standards and that customer specifications are being met and are followed.
Will perform quality control inspections, checks, and tests during the manufacture of products. Inspects materials, parts, and products at different stages of production. Will record observations and make recommendations for improving processes. Will have gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job.
Must have knowledge of ERP systems to produce Quality Reports for internal and external end users. Supports quality initiatives, which includes Quality Policy, Quality Objectives, and Quality Management System and drives continuous improvement initiatives throughout the organization.
Ensure that all the quality check procedures put in place by the company are followed during every phase of the process. Perform required physical testing, per the Work Instructions. Develop inspection plans which reference external customer specific requirements. Working with Quality Supervisor and QPP Manager on capturing part specific processing plans. Perform required visual checks.
If the parts have masking, you must check the parts against the highlighted blueprint and corresponding PO to ensure accuracy of masking. Become subject matter expert with regards to multi‑process orders. Develop internal masking approval with resource owners prior to potential process failures. Capture relevant inspection data within masking technique. Notate Pass or Fail status as necessary. Rejections must be reported to resource owner for disposition. Photo documentation is required in instances where rework paperwork or customer interaction is required. Notify QPP Manager and tag parts ON HOLD or under review for disposition.
