Primary Purpose

Perform duties to maintain department appearance, quality, variety, safety, and food safety standards. Support Hannaford's strategy and build positive customer relations through enthusiastic service.

Qualifications

• Effective communication, customer service, and sales skills.

• Willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical aspects of the job.
• Must meet minimum age requirements.

Physical Requirements

• Lift up to 50 lbs. frequently; 75 lbs. on occasion.
• Reach shoulder level or above while lifting 30 lbs. on occasion.
• Stand and walk continuously.
• Meet activity standards for the department.
• Bend, reach, grasp, and lift produce at or above waist level.
• Use hands for feeling objects; operate tools for opening boxes and preparing produce.
• Handle substances related to cleaning, packaging, and food products.
• Tolerate working in cold temperatures for up to 20 minutes.

Preferred Requirements

• Assist customers in locating and selecting products.
• Perform stocking, culling, and rotation per guidelines.

Compensation

Salary ranges from $15.50 to $22.30 per hour.
