Job Location: GA, Grovetown – Augusta State Medical Prison, Grovetown, GA 30813. Position Type: Part‑Time. Education Level: Professional Degree. Travel Percentage: None. Job Shift: Day. Job Category: Medical Physician & Advanced Practice Provider.

The Physician provides medical assessments and evaluations, treats emergent, urgent, and routine medical issues, supervises treatment for chronic medical conditions, and participates in organizational initiatives to help prevent diseases and injuries of patients in a correctional setting. The Physician works under the direction of the Site Medical Director and/or the Statewide Medical Director in collaboration with the Health Services Administrator (HSA) to ensure efficient and clinically appropriate medical services are provided.
