Job summary

UAB Medicine in Birmingham, Alabama, seeks a Physical Therapist to join the UAB Spain Rehabilitation Center, an 11-story inpatient rehabilitation pavilion with advanced facilities.

You will evaluate, plan and provide physical therapy services as prescribed, document promptly to meet professional and regulatory standards, and guide PT Assistants per APTA guidelines.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Physical Therapy required.
• Currently registered as a Registered Physical Therapist (PT) or (RPT) by the State of Alabama Board of Physical Therapy required.
• Currently certified with Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) required.

Responsibilities

• To evaluate, plan, and provide physical therapy services as prescribed by the referring physician and as evidenced by the patient's needs.
• To complete patient-related documentation, ensuring content and timeliness to meet all professional requirements and legal/regulatory specifications.
• To evaluate and develop plan of care for Physical Therapy Assistants, according to APTA guidelines.
