Compensation: Pay Range: $73,945.00 - $120,165.00 / year

UAB Spain Rehabilitation Center is opening an 11-story, state-of-the-art inpatient rehabilitation pavilion in spring 2025. The new hospital will include 78 rehabilitation beds and the latest technology, all designed to promote functional activity at every turn. Our team of highly skilled therapists practice in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, providing comprehensive, evidence-based care focused on each patient and their road to recovery. We support professional clinical development through mentorship and other growth opportunities, and UAB Medicine covers the cost of certain professional certifications.

Job Responsibilities

Evaluate, plan, and provide physical therapy services as prescribed by the referring physician, tailored to patient needs. Complete patient-related documentation ensuring content accuracy and timeliness to meet professional and legal standards. Develop and evaluate plans of care for Physical Therapy Assistants following APTA guidelines. Train and orient new department staff and participate in clinical training and supervision of students and interns.

Qualifications
  • Graduate from an accredited School of Physical Therapy required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
  • Currently registered as a Registered Physical Therapist (PT) or (RPT) by the State of Alabama Board of Physical Therapy required.
  • Currently certified in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) required.
