Job summary

Amedisys is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist for a part-time day shift in Cleveland, GA. You will work one-on-one with geriatric patients at home, providing hands-on care and movement interventions.

Training is provided with paid per-visit compensation after training. Benefits include mileage reimbursement and a full benefits package, with opportunities to grow within a national home health network.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice physical therapy in the assigned state.
• Graduate from a CAPTE-accredited PT program.
• One year of home health PT experience preferred; if less, regional leaders approval and mentoring.

Responsibilities

• Help patients maintain, restore, and improve movement, activity and function.
• Provide interventions, conduct reexaminations every 30 days at minimum, modify interventions and perform discharge planning.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice physical therapy specific to the state you're assigned to work in.
• Graduate from an accredited physical therapy educational program as set by the Commission on Accreditation of Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).
• One year related physical therapy experience for PTs entering home health care to ensure that knowledge and skills are sufficient to safely provide physical therapy services to patients.
• If less than one year of experience, approval from regional clinical leaders is required as well as appropriate mentoring and/or participating in a residency program.
• Current CPR certification.
