Job summary

Amedisys Home Health in Blairsville, GA is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist for a part-time daytime schedule to provide hands-on care in patients' homes. You will work one-on-one with patients, perform interventions, and conduct periodic reexaminations with discharge planning as needed.

We offer competitive pay ranging from $51.40 to $57.82 per hour, paid training, mileage reimbursement, and a benefits package including PTO, health plans, and a 401(k) with company match.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice physical therapy in the assigned state.
• Graduate from a CAPTE-accredited PT program.
• One year of related PT experience for home health care, or regional leadership approval for less than one year.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Help patients maintain, restore and improve movement, activity and function.
• Provide interventions, conduct reexaminations every 30 days at minimum, modify interventions as needed, and perform discharge planning.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice physical therapy specific to the state you're assigned to work in.
• Graduate from an accredited physical therapy educational program as set by the Commission on Accreditation of Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).
• One year related physical therapy experience for PTs entering home health care to ensure that knowledge and skills are sufficient to safely provide physical therapy services to patients.
• If less than one year of experience, approval from regional clinical leaders is required as well as appropriate mentoring and/or participating in a residency program.
• Current CPR certification.
