Job Summary:Responsible for the implementation and adherence to the HealthDirect Standard of Practice as it relates to the provision of the highest quality health care service to our customersJob Duties:Follows the HealthDirect Standard of Practice to dispense prescriptionsPerforms all quality assurance steps to insure a technically accurate prescription is dispensed. Reports dispensing incidents in a timely manner, in accordance with company guidelinesFollows all State and Federal regulations governing the practice of PharmacyOversees the initial submission, resubmission and collection of all third-party claimsManages and balances the pharmacy inventory to ensure maximum turns while remaining in-stock for customer needs.Insures prescription files and other manual records are maintained in accordance with all state and federal guidelinesInsure outstanding customer service is exhibited by all employees alwaysInsure all loss Prevention policies are followed by all employees and report deviations from said policies to Loss PreventionOversees the maintenance of the pharmacy department to insure a clean and professional environmentMaintains and develops professional relationships with doctors and others in the health service professionsMaintains an awareness of developments in the Pharmacy and Health Care Services fields that relate to job responsibilities and integrates them into own practiceMaintains confidentiality regarding all patient informationFacilitates communication between professional staff and pharmacy personnel.Assists in meeting or exceeding budgetary sales guidelines and operating the pharmacy within said guidelinesInterface with various auditors and outside agencies, as neededResponsible for completing all mandatory and regulatory training programsPerform other duties as assignedJob Requirements:Posses and maintain a valid State License and current registration to practice PharmacyAbility to stand/walk throughout majority of shiftSuccessful completion of a pre-employment and/or random drug screening testEducation:Minimum: BS or Pharm D degree in Pharmacy
