Job summary

Baptist Health Shelby Hospital in Alabaster, AL is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist or Physical Therapist to join the Outpatient Rehab Services team. This full-time, day-shift position supports patients through targeted rehabilitation plans.

The department emphasizes compassionate care, interdisciplinary collaboration, and timely documentation. You will evaluate, treat, and re-evaluate patients, develop goals, and participate in ongoing performance improvement and patient education.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in occupational therapy or physical therapy.
• Licensure/Certification: Maintains current Occupational Therapist or Physical Therapist license in the State of Alabama - temporary permit acceptable.
• Maintains current BLS/HealthCare Provider certification

Responsibilities

• Evaluates patients, gathering data from patient, physician, interdisciplinary team, family and other data sources.
• Develops treatment plans with specific goals and objectives.
• Demonstrates knowledge to treat and provide care appropriate to the age of the patients on the assigned caseload.
• Assists in documentation and billing accuracy; adheres to department policies and procedures.
• Communicates patient progress and adjusts plans as needed.

Education

Bachelor’s degree or higher in occupational therapy or physical therapy

Licensure/Certification in the State of Alabama

BLS/Healthcare Provider certification
