Job summary

North Alabama Bone and Joint Clinic in Florence, AL, is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist to deliver individualized rehabilitation care. You will assess patients, plan and implement treatment to improve strength, mobility and function, and educate patients on home exercises and use of assistive devices.

Work with orthopedic surgeons, therapists, and support staff in a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctorate in Physical Therapy required.
• Active Alabama Physical Therapist license required or ability to obtain.
• Orthopedic physical therapy experience preferred; new graduates welcome.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

North Alabama Bone and Joint Clinic is a trusted provider in the community of comprehensive orthopedic care, with locations in Florence and Muscle Shoals, Alabama. We are dedicated to delivering personalized, cutting-edge treatments in both surgical and non-surgical settings. Our team includes 9 physicians—8 orthopedic surgeons specializing in sports medicine and general orthopedics—who work alongside our skilled rehab team to provide exceptional patient care.

• Collaborative Environment:Work closely with orthopedic surgeons, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver top-tier patient care.


• In-House Therapy Services:Provide hands-on therapy in a well-equipped rehab facility, supported by 4 PTs, 1 OT, and additional PTAs and OTAs.


• Impactful Work:Help patients recover from surgery, injury, or chronic conditions, guiding them toward an active and pain-free lifestyle.


• Flexible Locations:While based in Florence, you may also have the opportunity to provide care at our Muscle Shoals location.

Your Role:

As a Physical Therapist at North Alabama Bone and Joint Clinic, you will deliver individualized care to help patients meet their rehabilitation goals. Your responsibilities will include:

• Patient Assessments:Conduct evaluations to gather data and create tailored treatment plans.


• Treatment Planning & Implementation:Provide hands-on physical therapy to improve strength, mobility, and function, adjusting treatments as necessary.


• Patient Education:Educate patients on exercises, home therapy regimens, and the use of assistive devices to facilitate recovery.


• Collaboration:Work closely with surgeons, PTAs, OTAs, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a seamless, effective care plan.


• Documentation:Accurately document patient progress, treatment plans, and notes, adhering to clinic policies and standards.

Qualifications:

We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Physical Therapist who meets the following criteria:

• Education:Master’s or Doctorate in Physical Therapy.


• Licensure:Active, unencumbered or ability to obtain Physical Therapist license in the State of Alabama.


• Experience:Orthopedic physical therapy experience is preferred, though recent graduates with a passion for rehabilitation are welcome.


• Skills:


• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.


• Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.


• Knowledge of physical therapy processes, regulations, and best practices.


• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Physical Requirements:

• Frequent standing, walking, and bending.


• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 70 pounds occasionally.
