Job summary

Weis Markets is seeking a warehouse associate to support item location, picking, and shipping at our Milton, PA facility. You will use a voice-activated headset and a powered pallet jack to locate items, determine quantities, and maintain accurate records.

Emphasis is on safety, accuracy, and teamwork as you help ensure efficient distribution, proper packaging, and compliant operations within Weis policies and OSHA regulations.

Qualifications

• Working toward completion of a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.

Responsibilities

• Use a voice-activated headset to locate items and determine quantities to be picked.
• Operate electric pallet jack safely to item locations as relayed by the headset.
• Complete pre-operation inspections and document results prior to operating equipment.
• Place and organize products on pallets to minimize damage during shipment.
• Visually inspect products for damage and secure with shrink wrap for safe delivery.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and comply with Weis and OSHA regulations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Utilize a voice activated Vo Collect headset system to determine item locations and proper quantities of items to be selected.
• Drive powered industrial equipment such as an electric pallet jack in a safe and efficient manner to item locations that are relayed via the headset. Training and certification through Weis Markets will be provided.
• Complete pre operation inspection and all associated documentation prior to operating equipment and submit completed documentation to maintenance.
• Place and organize products on pallets in a stable and efficient manner to minimize damages prior to and during shipment.
• Visually inspect products for damage or improper packaging and secure products with shrink wrap for safe delivery to retail locations.
• Responsible for promoting and maintaining a safe, efficient, clean, and effective work environment while complying will all Weis Markets, federal, state, local, OSHA (Occupational Safety & Health Administration) regulations, and laws.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This associate has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Qualification Requirements

Working towards completion of a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
