Job summary

Radiology and Imaging Specialists in Lakeland, FL is seeking a Part Time Medical Receptionist to greet patients, check them in, verify demographics and insurance, and guide them through registration.

The role also supports scheduling, collects co-pays, and maintains accurate records while delivering compassionate, professional service in a fast-paced radiology environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check-in patients upon arrival in a courteous and professional manner.
• Register new patients and update existing patient demographics by collecting detailed patient information including verifying patient’s current insurance information.
• Assist patients with registration/check-in process ensuring all necessary forms are completed.
• Collect co-pays and process payments.
• Scan information into patient charts.
• Responsible for cash box protocols.
• Schedule and re-schedule patients including walk-ins and incoming orders.
• Burn CDs when requested, upload CDs from outside facilities for comparison as necessary.
• Explain exam to patients to ensure patient safety and cooperation.
• Consults with referring physician offices in a concise and courteous manner.
• Other duties as assigned.

Introduction:

The Medical Receptionist responsibilities include Patient check-in and arrival. This position requires detailed knowledge of all aspects of patient services, including patient appointments, registration protocols, billing practices, telephone practices and scheduling guidelines. The position requires the ability to plan, schedule, organize and respond appropriately to a wide variety of subjects and situations.
