Duties and Responsibilities:

• Comply with all company policies, procedures, and government regulations.
• Meet productivity guidelines.
• Treat coworkers with fairness, dignity, and respect.
• Develop product knowledge in meat/seafood, including cooking procedures.
• Assist in special projects and perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Assist in training other associates when needed.
• Maintain a neat, well-groomed appearance and comply with personal appearance policies.
• Maintain communication within the department and organization.
• Support safety standards; report equipment issues and keep work area safe and clean.
• Follow sanitation and food safety standards.
• Maintain department appearance and presentation.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Minimum age requirements must be met.

Physical Requirements:

• Lift cases weighing 50 lbs. frequently and 100 lbs. occasionally.
• Meet volume activity standards.
• Stand or walk continuously in temperatures around 45°F.
• Perform repetitive motions such as grasping, twisting, reaching, bending, and handling products.
• Handle cleaning and packaging substances safely.
• Use hands and tools for meat and seafood processing.

Preferred Requirements:

• Provide excellent customer service and assistance.
• Identify, wrap, price, and weigh meat products following standard procedures.
• Cut, filet, display seafood, and manage product rotation.
• Stock cases with proper rotation.
• Assist with merchandise replenishment, food prep, and display setup.
• Support meat cutters with various tasks.
• Handle deliveries, code, rotate, and store products properly.
• Maintain cleanliness of cases, stations, equipment, and storage areas.
• Meet physical requirements with or without accommodations.

Salary range: $15.90 - $21.60 per hour.
