Position Overview

The Instructional Assistant supports classroom teachers in delivering personalized education. The ideal candidate is a recent college graduate interested in pursuing a career in education. Responsibilities include supporting classroom management, developing lesson plans, assessing students, collaborating with team members, and supporting school culture and college readiness initiatives.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of child development and learning styles.
• Ability to implement Aspire instructional guidelines and reflect on practice.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate.

Minimum Education

• Associate’s degree or 48 college credits or passing Paraprofessional Test; Bachelor's preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 30 pounds, and perform repetitive hand movements.

Experience

• At least 1 year working with students preferred.

Work Authorization

• Clear DOJ background check, authorized to work in the U.S., and provide health clearance.

Work Environment

Indoor and outdoor school environments, possible exposure to dust, chemicals, and illnesses, with some outside of regular hours required.

Compensation

Hourly rate: $22.17 - $32.30 based on experience. Salary schedules for 2025-26 will be updated in February 2025. Aspire offers competitive benefits including health, retirement, tuition reimbursement, and more.
