Job summary

Lee Enterprises is seeking a dependable part-time packaging inserter to join The Rapid City Journal production team in Rapid City.

Duties include operating inserting machines, feeding pre-prints, verifying counts, labeling bundles, bundling and shipping papers, and cleaning the work area.

Schedule is Mon, Wed, Fri 2:00 PM–6:00 PM and Saturday 6:00 AM–Noon, with rotating evenings and weekends; must be 18+, have good attendance.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Positive attendance record.
• Ability to work rotating evenings, nights, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Operate inserting machine.
• Feed pre-prints into insert machine hoppers.
• Verify counts of papers.
• Label and top bundles.
• Bundle and ship papers and pre-prints.
• Operate a hydraulic pallet jack and powered strapping equipment.
• Clean the work area as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned including janitorial duties.

The Rapid City Journal is seeking a dependable part-time packaging inserter to join the team due to expansion of the products we print. This position works M, W, and F from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, and Saturday from 6:00 AM to Noon.

Duties include:

• operating inserting machine
• feeding pre-prints into insert machine hoppers
• verifying counts of papers
• labeling and topping of bundles
• bundling and shipping papers and pre-prints
• operate a hydraulic pallet jack and powered strapping equipment
• clean the work area as needed
• other duties as assigned including janitorial duties

The successful candidate will be at least 18 years of age, demonstrate a positive attendance record, and have the ability to work rotating evenings, nights, and weekends.
