Job summary

Illinois Central College is seeking a part-time PT Housekeeper to support custodial services across ICC campuses. The role requires weekend coverage (Saturday to Wednesday, 5:30 AM–12:00 PM) on the East Peoria campus and potential rotation to Peoria and Pekin campuses.

Responsibilities include cleaning duties from vacuuming and mopping to restroom sanitation, waste disposal, and assisting during emergencies. A high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license or equivalent with an acceptable driving record.
• Manual dexterity.
• Physical ability to lift and carry safely a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Must be able to work at all locations as assigned.

• Dust and polish furniture and fixtures.
• Empty and reline wastebaskets.
• Clean drinking fountains.
• Clean restrooms and replenish supplies.

• Assist during emergency situations or hazardous conditions.
• Assist custodians as assigned.
• Assist set-ups as assigned.
• Perform related duties as required.

Compensation for the Housekeeper is $18.63 an hour.

Schedule & Campus

The schedule for this position is Saturday - Wednesday from 5:30AM-12PM on our East Peoria campus.

Illinois Central College has three campuses (East Peoria, Peoria, Pekin) and housekeepers may rotate between the campuses as needed.

Essential Functions

• Vacuum carpets and sweep, dust and mop floors.
• Spot clean floor coverings, walls, doors and window glass.
• Dust and polish furniture and fixtures.
