Job summary

Cimarron Trails Golf Course seeks a reliable grounds maintenance worker to perform routine tasks across the course and associated facilities. You will cut greens, fairways, rough, and surrounds, manage holes and markers, and operate basic maintenance equipment as part of a skilled team.

The role requires reading safety rules and following procedures, with flexibility for weekends, holidays, and evenings. Prior landscaping experience is preferred, and a High School Diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain greens, surrounds, fairways, rough areas according to course design.
  • Set up the course including changing holes, tee markers, OOB, hazards.
  • Prepare and maintain equipment used for grounds work.
  • Assist with turf renovation and plantings; weed control and fertilization as scheduled.
  • Perform cleaning and basic repairs around the grounds and facilities.
  • Support snow removal and winter maintenance as needed.

SUMMARY:Responsible for carrying out all routine grounds maintenance tasks of the Cimarron Trails Golf Course and its associated facilities in accordance with all established policies, procedures and internal control standards.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Duties include, but are not limited to:Responsible for cutting trees, greens, surrounds, fairways, rough and semi rough greens in accordance with planned design of landscaped areas.Set up the golf course, including changing holes, moving tee markers, indicating OOB, Drop zones and hazards.Prepare and maintain machinery.Assist with renovating worn or damaged turf.Help identify and control pests and diseases in order to maintain a pleasant environment for employees and guests.Apply top dressing and fertilizers as needed and scheduled.Helps overseas the care and maintenance of the turf, ornamental plants, shrubs, and trees on the facility grounds.Assists with the planting of new vegetation, the replacement and arrangement of plant beds, and the pulling of weeds.Cleans buildings and grounds, washing windows and empties trash cans.Repairs and paints any needed property on the grounds in order to keep all grounds in acceptable condition.Assists with snow removal and winter maintenance activities when necessary.Position requires a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays and evenings.Performs other duties as assigned.The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this position. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or Employees of organization.MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.REASONING ABILITY:Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
