Job summary

IGA Market in Elgin, SC is seeking a part-time grocery associate to greet guests, bag purchases, and assist with carts and merchandising. You will help customers, maintain clean front-end areas, and support team members during busy periods.

The role emphasizes friendly service, safe lifting, and reliable teamwork in a fast-paced retail environment. Flexible PT shifts and weekly pay are available.

Qualifications

• Friendly, outgoing personality.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to retrieve and push in shopping carts.
• Ability to bend and lift to load customer orders into cars.

Responsibilities

• Actively communicates with every guest including greeting, thanking, offering a choice of bag type, and performing any other courtesy guideline.
• Properly bags guests’ orders to ensure purchases are not damaged.
• Works well with all hosts and supervisors.
• Places guests purchases in grocery cart or hands bags to the customer and sincerely offers assistance to the guests vehicle.
• Performs price checks.
• Relay guest problems to supervisor.
• Retrieves carts from parking lot.
• Cleans front end, break room, rest rooms, lobby, parking lot, etc.
• Cleans garbage and debris from carts and baskets.
• Performs all other duties as assigned by management.
