IGA Market in Gaston, SC is seeking a part-time grocery associate to join our team. You will interact with guests, stock shelves, manage backstock, and help ensure a clean, safe store environment while keeping the shopping experience quick and pleasant.

Qualifications

• Ability to work well with others.
• Able to lift 40 lbs constantly and 60 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to read and understand information and directions.
• Knowledge of grocery operations.
• Willingness to learn multiple tasks.
• Effective communication and guest service skills.
• Ability to bend, kneel, stand, push/pull stock carts and operate pallet jack.

Responsibilities

• Provide polite, friendly interactions with guests.
• Stock, rotate, and condition grocery products on shelves.
• Maintain neat, safe work area for guests.
• Keep backstock organized and inventoried in the backroom.
• Minimize damage and shrink via inventory control and proper handling.
• Assist unloading and verifying deliveries to the store.
• Maintain sanitation on sales floor and backroom.
• Report temperature issues to supervisor (dairy/frozen).
• Perform front-end duties to ensure no noticeable wait.
• Order products for aisles as assigned.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
